Give your fall looks a little razzle dazzle with fashion’s favourite embellishment: sequins.
With fall’s muted palette well under way, it’s the perfect time to turn our heads towards something a little livelier: sequins. With Gucci and Versace turning out the glam-o-rama sequin-adorned collections, it’s our belief that sequin-embellished pieces have been given new life. While they serve their purpose for getting that fun, sexy, party-going look, we’re more interested in how you can work them into your wardrobe by day. We suggest incorporating glimmering accent pieces, like a vintage-inspired blazer, a clutch or pumps into your basic looks. Take cues from sequin-loving ladies like Olivia Palermo, Blake Lively and Diane Kruger who have a knack for working the trend into their evening and daytime looks. Tip: “Less is more,” is a rule of thumb—keep it to one sequined piece at a time.
