There’s nothing more comfy than soft cotton so no wonder it’s one of the hottest trends of the upcoming spring.
It’s official: designers have decided that less is more! Call it the American Apparel effect, but 100% plain cotton is all over the place these days, and not just on your underwear label. Alexander Wang, Erin Fetherson and Lacoste are just some of the designers offering up their takes on the 80s’ fave fabric. Make the most of the plain cotton look with some electric colours and second-skin cuts, like bandeau bras, shorts and bodysuits. Rock the whole outfit for a hipster look this spring or mix and match for a touch of funky flair: maybe some sexy short shorts with a pair of striped soccer socks? The cotton trend is not only a comfy classic but it’s a trend that won’t break the bank, either.
