On the runway, the warrior princess vibe is unmistakable with army green, gold ragged t-shirts and torn and intentionally destroyed jeans. DIY’s raison-d’être, Balmain’s party-hopping cavewoman is a great foil to the contemporary minimalism of Pheobe Philo’s Céline or Hannah MacGibbon’s sheer and billowy Chloé Lazy Sunday? Nothing says nonchalantly pulled together like a khaki palette of loose-fitting shorts paired with a Decarnin-inspired forest green tattered tee, oversized sunglasses and gladiator flats. Err on the side of pretty sophisticate with sheer layers in shades of beige and chestnut accented with strong lines of impeccably tailored all-weather leather shorts and wedge sandals.
