Fake lashes are fun and add feminine allure to any gaze, and they're really easy to work with once you know how. Before gluing on the lashes, make sure the strips will fit your eyelids. Lay them along the lash line and cut off the excess length. Hairstylist and makeup artist Jackie Shawn says that you'll get a more sensual effect if you trim off a little extra at the inner corners of the eyes. Leave them longer at the outer corners so they'll curve up and give you that sultry gaze. Next, drip a drop of glue in the palm of your hand and slide the base of the fake lashes over it. To set them on so they look seamless, close your eye and, using tweezers or your fingers, place the fringes one at a time at the lash line of the upper lids, just behind your lashes. Press down using a fine-tipped tool like a makeup brush to make sure they stick. Open your eyes and blink a few times to make sure they are secure. As a finishing touch, gently press the ends upwards with your index finger. This little gesture will add a flirty curve and keep those peepers looking extra lovely.
